Bonnaroo Music Festival

Bonnaroo is a Music Festival held in Tennessee every June with about 100k turning up every year.

They wanted something big for their 2009 Line-Up Announcement.

Working on Art Direction, Design & Animation with the production company Ghost Robot and Director Elliot Jokelson we created the following.

In the video each frame was printed on a piece of paper, then hung 20 deep on a rig and photographed. All 1300 frames were hand cut. With this concept, pioneered by Javan Ivey, we expanded into the world of Stereoscopy or old school 3D (If you have the old glasses you can watch the 3D version towards the bottom of the page)
